The flight will improve communication between the two countries and help in strengthening bilateral relations in financial and diplomatic terms, Khurshed Alam Chowdhury, civil aviation and tourism secretary, said at the event as the chief guest.

Novoair has been fully compliant of regulations till now, has proved its quality of service on the domestic routes and hopefully will continue its dedication to service on international routes as well, he said.

“Myanmar is an attractive place for tourism with natural beauty and historically important sites, and it has been open to foreign investment since 2010,” said Mofizur Rahman, managing director of Novoair.

Many global investors are now setting up businesses in Myanmar, especially in the field of oil, gas, energy, mineral, telecom, banking, infrastructure and tourism sectors, he said.
